The panel is situated on a S facing slope overlooking river Sgitheach with Cioch Mhor pap visible to NW, Cromarty Firth, and both Sutors, visible in distance through gap in hills. Balnacrae Chambered Cairn (Canmore 12919) is 700m NE at a similar elevation. The panel lies in a broad shallow gully running SSE, with a minor burn to E. Strath Sgitheach Balnacrae Lower is approx. 100m S.

Oval smoothly rounded panel 2.2m x 1.1m, sloping 15 degrees S. Smooth surface with prominent quartz vein. 15 cups down the centre. One cup has the hint of possible ring.
