B5. Location Notes
The panel is located on the top of Turin Hill, immediately above Turin Hill Farmyard. It is approximately 1m to the S of the field wall which runs roughly E-W along the length of the hilltop, bisecting the hillfort known as Kemp's Castle (Canmore ID 34899). It also lies within the area of the scheduled monument designation for the hillfort (SM142). A trig point is approximately 60m to the W along the field wall. Turin Hill 6 lies approximately 25m to the SSW. There are extensive views over the valley below Turin Hill and particularly over Rescobie Loch to the S.

C5. Panel Notes
This is a pear-shaped panel measuring 1.2 x 0.8m across and rising to 0.2m at its highest. It is part of an area of outcropping rock sloping gently to the N, and appears to have been eroded underneath its S edge. There are two possible cupmarks lying close together towards the centre of the panel. Both may be natural, and have a slightly pointed profile. One is not very circular in plan. There is also a large nodule on another part of the panel and other marks which may be a result of natural erosion, perhaps indicating that the marks are a result of the weathering-out of naturally-occurring nodules. There is evidence of a similar process occurring on other rocks in the vicinity.
