B5. Location Notes
The house named Glen Elbon appears on the First Edition Ordnance Survey maps, but no longer exists. There is a house called Silver Firs on the same spot. A thorough search was made of the area N of the road within a radius of 100m from Silver Firs, but the features mentioned in the Canmore entry were not located. The area is very overgrown with moss and vegetation, and has been extensively quarried, so it is possible that the features are obscured or have been removed.

NS 505 740. An outcrop of rock bearing some strange devices is situated 30 yds N of the centre of the road outside a house named Glen Elbon. Could be natural.
