The panel is located on a gentle NE facing slope. It is in a new plantation which is in use as a pheasant covert. It is a few metres away from a small lochan. The site has extensive views over the Dee Valley towards Bengairn and a rocky knoll in improved pasture. The panel forms part of a cluster of rock art that includes Park of Tongland 1 and 3. It lies just over 1,m from Park of Tongland 3.

C5. Panel Notes
This greywacke outcrop measures 1.7 x 1m and rises 0.5m above ground level, with the surface sloping gently. There are 26 cupmarks evenly distributed across the surface, with the deepest being approximately 3cms. The rock surface is slightly undulating and smooth, although the surface is broken by two large fissures, one running NW-SE and the other E-W. The turf cover was removed but it is possible that further carvings may exist.

Comments and other potential threats
The panel is situated in a fenced off area used as a pheasant covert. Tongland Quarry is about one mile away. A gas pipe line is being installed about three hundred metres away. The farm track is adjacent but it is unlikely people will walk past.
